On Sundays we gather together regularly to grow as disciples of Jesus Christ. Each Sunday night of the month features elements that make up the life of a disciple. Sundays @ Rise offer the opportunity to worship, learn, serve, play, and engage with others as we rise up and participate in God’s great movement by understanding our callings to BE, FOLLOW, and GIVE God’s Great Love.  If you would like to download this information as a document, click here.

BE | Play     [ 5:00 to 7:00pm ]

Sundays at Rise that feature BE | Play, we do just that - we hang out, and we have fun! From Dodgeball, to Sardines, to Ultimate Frisbee or Kickball, or playing games in our youth game room, we just have a good time playing and hanging out together! We eat dinner together as a group on BE | Play Sundays.

FOLLOW | Worship     [ 5:00 to 7:00pm ]

Sundays at Rise that feature FOLLOW | Worship we explore the different ways that we can worship God as followers of Jesus through different worship experiences. We eat dinner together as a group on FOLLOW | Worship Sundays.

GIVE | El Paraiso Food Pantry     [ 3:00 to 6:00pm ]

Sundays at Rise that feature GIVE | El Paraiso Food Pantry, we operate a food pantry at the El Paraiso United Methodist Church Mission in Mission, Texas. Every month we take time to feed people who need food. Jesus fed people, and since we want to be like him, we do too! Our departure time is prompt, so don’t get left behind!

FOLLOW | God in the Movies     [ 5:00 to 8:00pm ]

Sundays at Rise that feature FOLLOW | God in the Movies we begin the night by watching a movie together, and then we will discuss where God can be found in the film and how we can find God in our everyday lives. By viewing films together and discussing them through the lens of following Jesus, we will all grow in our faith and further develop the skill of spiritual discernment. We share a snack supper together during FOLLOW | God in the Movies, and youth are also encouraged to bring their favorite drinks and snacks with them to enjoy during the movie.
